Rebranding

The task was to redesign the packaging for Cadbury Gems to suit 2025 while keeping its fun and colorful vibe alive. The new design had to solve modern issues like sustainability, health concerns, and ease of use, all while staying true to the brand’s playful identity.

THE INSPIRATION

Gems has always been a part of my childhood a fun, colourful snack that brought happiness. I wanted to bring that same joy to a new generation, with packaging that also matches today’s values.

THE IDEA

The redesign focused on three goals:

  1. Eco-friendly Materials – Switching to biodegradable paper packaging.

  2. Health Awareness – Using natural colours instead of artificial dyes to make it safer for consumers.

  3. Better Usability – Creating packaging that’s resealable and spill-proof for convenience.


It wasn’t easy to balance the brand’s classic charm with these new ideas. Ensuring the packaging was eco-friendly, user-friendly, and still fun required a lot of research and testing.
